Garan
Shaw was born in Durango, Colorado on March 21, 1984. He has served as a D.A.R.E.
prevention spokesman, a Columbine High School Panelist, Business Manager for
M-CHS Newspaper as well as Managing Editor, News Reporter/Photographer for the
Cortez Journal, Fort Lewis College board of Student Finance, C.U.B. Expansion
Board Member, Student Representative of Wanibi Ota (largest Native American
group at Fort Lewis), Director of Public Relations for Collage Republicans,
Sergeant at Arms for the Governing body of Fort Lewis College, Student Director
for the Westerners Club (oldest campus club), Lead "Heavy Hauler" for Dawn
Trucking Oilfield Equipment and numerous of other minor positions. Garan's
qualifications include having the Highest Class of drivers license possible for
a private individual, Aviator/Ground certification, CAD Cert., First Responder
Cert., Rocky Mountain Search and Rescue Cert., Boat Operators license for over 5
tons. Garan currently attends Fort Lewis College and is Majoring in Mass
Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Political
Science.
